What do you Twitter?

I found a Twitter fail whale in ASCII Art. What do you like about Twitter? How do you use it? What do you think about how other people use Twitter. Who are you most likely to follow?

I enjoy Twitter but mostly for social posts with other people who share my interests. I like to feel I’m meeting new people I’d actually like to meet and talk to. I like to find out new information and resources from the people who are interested in the same things I want to know more about.

I don’t understand why some people use Twitter for self promotion and never try to be social. Would they be interested in following themselves? Chances are they are the very type of Twitter user they choose not to follow. Funny how backwards things can be.
